i saw a puppy that has wet hair under his eyes are those tear stains??? WAIT DO THEY CRY????

the eyes weep and cause brown staining in the fur below the eye along the "nose"

They are tear stains, but not from crying like people cry. Like all eyes, moisture is produced to wash away things that are irritating the eye. If a dog has a hair, or many hairs, sticking in its eye, then more moisture is produced. Dog's can't just brush the hair back, so the moisture continues.

You'll see this a lot in lhasa apsos, yorkies, King Charles, and other breeds whose hair is usually a little longer in the face.

They are tear deposits. Like when you have anormaly full eyes and a trinckle goes down your eye, same with them! But they need to be cleaned every once and a while

no not tears as in crying......the eyes are lubricated like ours so they don't dry out...some dogs have leaky eyes.
