That depends on the relationship. What works for one, may not work as well for another. I am in one right now, well in september when I go back to university, and if anything, it strengthens our relationship because we cherish the time we spend together so much more. The last few weeks of summer especially since we are getting ready to leave each other again. But for others, it may get too difficult, and they want to find somebody who is closer. I say it is worth trying, if you really care about the person, or if you want to see where the realationship will lead. You never know, a summer fling may turn out to be the real thing. Or not and it was all just a big watse of time. lol But why not take the risk? Isn't that what life is all about??

I would love to tell you that it works, but I have never seen anybody able to overcome all the problems that occur. If you really care for the person it might be worth the effort, or maybe you can end it now with hopes of remaining as friends. Either way I am sure that it will not be easy. good luck

They can be worth it, it was worth it for me. Unfortunately it wasn't worth it for my ex girlfriend. The thing is, even if it is worth it, it really just doesn't make sense usually. You're better off without it regardless of how they might mean to you.
