there's not a specific age, but see if the babysitter is mature/responsible enough to look after your kids and someone you're comfortable to have around your kids as well.

I'm a babysitter and I have been for a while. Ask one of your kid's friend's older siblings, that way they already know your kids and youll feel more comfortable. Also, be sure that they are responsible. I'm only 14 but I's a rather good babysitter and I babysit for 3 hours every day and I get paid $10 an hour. So it's not the ages, it's what they do and how mature they are.

The appropiate age should be about 18-21 or older. I dont think anybody younger would be suitable for the job or could stay out that late.

I'd say, not younger than 17. Pop for first aid and CPR lessons. That's a long time for someone to watch them that doesn't have lots of kid experience.

whew well i would look for a 15-18 year old but don't look for one on here because you never know who these people are they might tell u their a 17 yr old but may be a 40 yr old trying to kidnap your kids.

18 or over. If you have younger teenagers watch them they tend to watch tv, talk on the phone more than watch your kids. Plus, that time of night I'd feel safer with someone older there.
