Send them a copy of the cancelled check by certified mail.

Telll them this is proof you paid and if they don't straighten it out you know a lawyer who will take your case for free.

Sir, If you cancelled payment on the check that you sent, this means the loan DID NOT GET PAID! But if you sent a replacement payment in on time and it was deducted from your account your bank will be able to provide proof of that loan company's mistake on your account. Please get a copy of the receipt that says when that payment had to be paid. REPORT this incident to your federal credit bureau its in the phone book!

I totally agree with the advice from "older woman." Give them a copy of the front and back of the cancelled check. Hang on to the original because you are probably going to have to hire a lawyer and he/she will want the original. Sounds like a crooked loan company to me and they should be reported and sued.

i'd have decrease the verbal replace short... and referred to as back - even as i might want to record the verbal replace. I actually have a VONAGE line... even as i opt to record a verbal replace, I call my personal voice mail and convention it in... (I do it after the fast OUT GOING message, so the man doesn't listen it - yet I ask the man - "is this verbal replace 'on the record?' or no longer?" Vonage then records the verbal replace in a WAV record which i visit actually digital mail connect. of route - you opt to pay your charges - and obviously - you may want to pay on time... yet there is not any justification to be gruesome about it. I do pc help for a set organisation. they're by no skill antagonistic or unsightly. they merely tell the man- firmly yet courteously - what's going to happen in the adventure that they don't pay up. there is by no skill the accusation of being a LIAR. neither is there the rationalization or justification for elevating their voice. i'm extremely constructive - that the agency doesn't countenance such habit. you'd be doing both THEM and also you a provider - in case you rfile it.

I'm not sure you are in California, but if you are, you should call the California Department of Consumer Affairs. Link to web:

If you are not in California, call your state's Department of Consumer Affairs. They are the ones who regulate all the financial and loan companies. THey will be able to help.

Get the cancelled cheque. Take a copy of the front of it and a copy of the back of it where they endorsed it. Take it to the office as proof. Do not let them get their hands on the original cheque.

I would say get your bank involved, but sounds like they are. At this point, tell this company you're getting a lawyer.
