Communications is more useful if you want to go into management in future. If you wana stay in engineering as a engineer, then take the former.

I think the best is to find a job first, then have the company pays for further degrees.

Many people has a degree in ee and ends up writing SW or into marketing. I will say it is way too early to make that decision.

If you have not started the EE, you may absolutely hated it and want to do something differently. Many engineers becomes mangers after a MBA.

Sorry, there is just too many possiblities. It is nice to plan everything but the world and technology change too fast. You can't predict everything. But the one thing absolutely true is the fundamental knowledge you learn in school. Make sure you are solid about what you learn.

What am I, a freaking fortune teller? I work for a very large engineering firm, and I would suggest you get your BSE and a master's degree in another field. Why? Because as an engineer, your bachelor's is all you need to do engineering. How about an MBA? They are in demand. It gives you a hand up on the competition. Just my humble opinion. Whatever you decide, good luck to you.

robotics is still a "hot" degree to get. Why don't you major in one and minor in another.
