I'm trying to find I beer that I will actually like. I tried Corona, and can't drink it. It's too bitter, and I think that any beer that needs a lime shouldn't be consumed anyway. Then I tried Kokanee Gold, and amber lager. I liked it a lot more than Corona, mainly because it didn't have much of an aftertaste.

What do I have a good chance of liking? I think I like sweeter beers, and I'm thinking of giving Heineken or Becks a try next. Any other suggestions? I'm not really interested in the macros that get crappy ratings, like Molson, Labatt, Budweiser, Coors, etc.

Try Samuel Adams...real smooth.
Also, Yeungling, Black and Tan is superb...if you can find it.
A good domestic beer is Killians red.
My favorite is Bass Pale Ale...the Brits have done something right. Happy hunting.

Oddly enough, Labatt's is very smooth and light even though it's a pilsner, you might want to give it a shot.

Michelob is pretty light too, but there's a Russian beer called Baltika that's become a hit in my circle of friends (and most of them don't drink beer).

Your German/Dutch beers are going to be really heavy.

Another option is Abita Purple Haze. It's a raspberry beer and is a little sweeter. Personally I hate it because it's sweeter, but I haven't seen too many people turn it down since we got it on tap at work.

Try Blue Moon. The blue labeled Belgian White is a great wheat beer. And as someone mentioned, Pete's Wicked Ale is great too!

why don't you try bohemian? It's a delicious beer that i find sweeter than most and with a limited aftertaste.....it also happens to be rediculously cheap..also if you don't like those try one of the chubby bottles like Red Stripe or Red cap.

Good luck, if all else fails try a non-alcoholic beer (no one will ever know)

I agree with Killian's Irish Red. Try Dos Equis, it's easy to drink too. Also, try Bohemia dark lager.

Try Pete's Wicked Ale. Like drinking liquid tree bark, but in a good way.
