My kids like the sal limon and beer salts. They consume about a container a day. What do they need to worry about? How much is toxic? Can too much salt kill someone?

There is such a thing as a lethal dose of salt (sodium chloride).

However, what your kids are eating is not anywhere near a lethal dose.

They would have to consume about 6 tablespoons at once. However, it is physiologically impossible to eat that much salt without gagging, or vomitting.

3 ounces or several tablespoons dissolved in water and drank within an hour will kill you if you don.t get to hospital quick enough. Refers to sea salt or table salt-- sodiun chloride. Don't know what beer salt is. See anti-water on this site on how salt kills you.

Salt is just as deadly for children as it is for adults. Eating too much salt now can lead to deadly health problems in the future. Here is a link to a site that will give you a general idea to how much they should have per day. I hope this is helpful to you

Yes. 1/4 cup of salt is toxic. It can kill you by messing up your body's natural electrolytes.

Salt itself is not deadly, it's not a poison, and its components are eliminated through urine if they are in excess, so no great disbalance there. However, its overuse WILL cause severe health probs in the future. Get that monkey of their back.
