Hmmm... I don't think Magic 8-Balls can sweat, which leads me to conclude that you're not getting the answer that you want, it's causing you to perspire, and you're wrongly associating the perspiration with the 8-Ball rather than yourself - so that you can justify not believing what it tells you.

My conclusions is: STOP ASKING IT FOR SEX ADVICE...

;-P

I wouldn't consider an inanimate object a "liar", personally. But the force guiding the answers is possibly a liar. Who/what is the force guiding the Magic 8 Ball???

the magic 8-ball never lies. You may be a target of deceit by the magic 12-ball, the magic 8-ball's arch enemy.

Ask it the same question twice and you'll get different answers. Another way is by asking a question that you already know the answer to.

Ok, this seemed like a good question, so I went and found a virtual 8-ball (those things are not sold here), and asked it "Do you ever lie?"
The answer was "Don't count on it".
Now, this has so many implications that I don't know where to start analyzing. Was there a part of me that wanted it to lie? Should I trust this virtual magic 8-ball from now on? What is the meaning of life?
*sigh* Too much food for thought, I guess

My mom used to tell me to take a long trip off a short pier - or something like that. Hope that helps.
