Yes! I use to visit my Grandfather in Fla - and he always went for them. We used live shrimp - they love em.

I catch these all the time. Im not sure what the best season is, but August or September would be fine. I would use cut bait when fishing for these. If you dont catch a sheep head(fresh water drum) you will get good size catfish biting.

I have never had any luck in catching sheepshead in August & September. The real answer to your question is it really depends on the location and depth you are fishing.

I was checking the fishing report for Galveston this past weekend and it said that sheephead were abundant right now. I would think it depends on your location though. Good luck!
