There are over 50 types of HPV, and only a very few responsible for genital problems. STOP PANICKING, PEOPLE!!!!
The virus does not survive on the shoes, only on the skin. In theory. Practically, you should treat the warts and then wear a thin bandage, socks and shoes to prevent any exceptions being made on your behalf. This only for about two weeks, at which time if you have had a good treatment the warts will be gone. Depends on the virus type. The link above my post refers only to genital HPV.

HPV does cause plantar warts or for that purpose any warts. I dont think you need to throw away all the shoes. The virus cant live for very long outside the human body.
The ideal way of dealing it is remove the warts either by freezing it (cryotherapy), Burn it ( cautery/ Radiofrequency), or by topical lotions containing salicylic acid. Use the same pair till they are gone completely and then may be throw off that pair.
Warts are highly infectious... dont walk bare foot on the ground. Dont share your shoes/ socks with anybody.
Recurrances are very common. So meet ur doc at the earliest. Remember smaller the wart lesser is the viral load, earlier destruction will lead to permanent resolution

I had one but my doctor never saidanything about getting rid of my shoes. If you walked in your shoes without a band-aid covering your wart I might get rid of the pair I wore the most, but you usually want to cover it with a DRY bandage.
Also plantar warts are very likely to come back because they grow into your foot.

I'm sorry but you all are stupid! Are you kidding? You don't have to have sex or anything of the sort to get a plantar wart! I know 12 year olds that have plantar warts. HPV has several variations. You can get a plantar warts by getting a splinter or cut on your foot then getting bacteria on it at the beach when you shower, or whatever.

Hpv is human papilloma virus , if I spelled papilloma correctly. It causes all sorts of warts everywhere. Certain strains are known for certain infection, that's all. Just like herpes (whatever number) gives u fever blisters and then herpes (whichever numbers it is) gives you genital blisters. And then there's the regular chicken pox strain. Guess what means ......if u answered with 'hpv is a genital infection. It can't be anywhere else....yada yada' Ur a moron who's probably responsible for several of your girlfriends bad decisions. And I'm surprised you made it to the bottom of this comment. Although I am quite sure you have gotten the information therein once again wrong and have as a consequence...missed the point entirely. Hey but at least we know what to expect out of you. :-) have a nice one

According to the Podiatrist we've visited to treat my daughter's plantar wards, the virus that causes warts on the feet/skin can persist for several weeks or even months in shoes. Don't share shoes, either.

Moles, warts, and skin tickets are typical skin wounds that develop naturally. Though they're typically non cancerous, they may be embarrassing if located on a visible portion like the face. Skin wounds like moles and warts cause self confidence problems to the sufferers. An individual with moles normally turns into a loner because they don't desire to be seen in public. They think ashamed to be out in public places, therefore despair can obviously follow but now you can change all this with this information from here https://tr.im/jUUnN , Moles, Warts and Skin Tags Removal eBook.
The writer of this eBook, Charles Davidson, is a practitioner in substitute medicine. He is also an expert in skin care, using organic treatments to cure different types of epidermis conditions.
Moles, Warts and Skin Tags Removal program is really a 100% normal program, proven to eliminate epidermis deformities such as for instance skin tags, moles, and warts, irrespective of how large or small they are. It is even safe to make use of on children.
