it depends on where they are stationed and what their job is. They would have to call you first and give you their phone number and extension. If they did, it would probably good to set up arranged times to talk, you have to remember that they are 11 hours ahead of the US. If they have access to a satellite phone and you have a cell phone, it doesn't cost you anything besides your normal air time. The main number you dial would be somewhere in the US and the extension is what gets you to them. If you have a dsn number and they do to, you could also call that way. But I'd make sure it's okay with your work before you do it, just in case there's any chance of getting in trouble.

it depends on where they are > i was in Baghdad and we had a VOIP phone with a US area code so calling baghada was the same as a US city. Most people are issued cell phones but the cost of a phone call from the US would be very expensive. Use email there are many bases that have internet cafes available to the soldiers

It depends on what there MOS is...

If they are constantly sitting at a desk then yes. If they are out in the field then basically you are just going to have to wait till they call you. Also for even the ones working at the desks I dont know how you would go about getting there phone number so you will either have to talk to there family or wait for them to call you.

why would you want to disturb someone who is fighting and working for a better country? if its that important, wait until they call you, or else email them. if its REALLY important, like life or death, get ahold of the red cross, but youll have to give them all the information on the soldier you are contacting.
