I for one never attended Catholic school and very rarely attended mass. Yet from earliest childhood I've been deathly afraid of nuns.

A great educational experience and a healthy fear of penguins.

I never went to parochial school either but all my Catholic friends who did put the fear of nuns in me too! I don't think I've ever even looked one in the eye.

The thing that private school can provide (including parochial schools in general), is an actual education rather than just government sponsored babysitting. They also have more leeway in dealing with troublemakers, which means...fewer troublemakers and a safer environment more conducive to learning.

Well "Mr. I OWN Malibu"... (Mel Gibson has some nerve)

It's like this... They call it "White Flight".

White Flight is when all the little rich white people get scared because they are letting black folks get an education so they run for the hills and find refuge in private religious communities that are more than happy to help them duck their heads in the sand and make excuses for their thousands of years of tyranny over minorities...

That is the only Benefit of private religious schools... the validation of self-righteous lies and manipulations.

Hope this helps.

Parochial education can give children a whole wonderful world of psychological hangups when it comes to sex, body image, sin, guilt, hell, etc. I know -- it really helped my sisters and me (not to mention the therapists who were able to put their kids through college with the money we spent). Feel the love!

Catholic school students out score public counterparts. These schools tend to require math and science for all of high school and spelling as well. They have higher standards but now a days they aren't even very Catholic and that is why we homeschool.

It's basically the same curriculum. Parochial schools just have Bible class.

parochial education is very good at teaching how to conform and close your mind.
