Watermelon or cantaloupe? How many have you bought this summer? How many were excellent?

watermelon- all were excellent except for one that wasn't ripe enough. you can tell if it's ripe by tapping the outside of a melon, if the sound is hollow then it's not very juicy but if the sound "resonates" and is deep then the melon is sure to be good.
try the "golden" watermelons that are supposedly yellow on the inside if you can find them. i heard they were really delicious.

I have bought so many watermelons this summer I have lost count. This last watermelon that I cut up tonight was not as good as the other watermelons I bought this summer. I guess because I let it sit to long with out cutting it up. My daughter and I are not into eating cantaloupes. So I guess I can say I bought 0 cantaloupes this summer.

I've bought 2 watermelon. I was lame, one was "ok." Nothing spectacular.

I'me on about my 4th cantaloupe. I love it wrapped w/ proscuitto! The last 3 were probably all very good, juicy, and flavorful. The first one was a little underripe (I got in a hurry).

We hav bought 6 seedless watermelons and they have been as sweet as sugar.

Watermelon duh i have bought about 6 of them and only 4 of them were really sweet and juicy and i prefer seeded i find them sweeter check out my blog about my watermelon
