Corporate American, intent on cudgeling citizens into accepting lowered wages and poor work conditions, keep telling us that illegal immigrants are good for us, because they accept below-minimum wages.

But, we all know that's not true--they get social services, medical care, education for themselves and their children, and other benefits totalling 550% of the pay that they take home, all courtesy of taxes on the rest of us individuals.

Add to that the fact that only about 1/3 of the people entering the country illegally are low-paid workers; another full third are criminals, and the last third become dependents of the first two.

We need a guest worker program with individual employers sponsoring specific individual workers (after, of course, all the illegals here now leave). No children, parents, spouses, or others allowed to join them, and any kids they have here would not be US citizens but expat children of guest workers.

Employers should be required to put up a bond of $50,000 per worker invited, and half that money per year should go into the US Treasury as fee income for managing the guest worker program.

So, in my opinion, it isn't the illegals that are aliens, it is the employers beckoning them in.

Simple first a word definition

Alien means A person who comes from a foreign country; someone who does not owe allegiance to your country

Immigrant means A person who comes to a country where they were not born in order to settle there

And as we all know most of the people that cross the American borders illegally settle there for most of them they can get jobs and work easier than those of us that were born in the USA and they also most of the times get more rights than we do. So in all intents and purposes they are immigrants that are going about it in an illegal manner... ie illegal immigrant

After being on line in Yahoo for a couple of months
i find my once liberal self becoming more and more defiant of the invasion of the US,you people that are so in love with the illegal aliens, immigrant, undocumented workers have turned me into a supporter of guys like tripleD.you did it with your continuous support of an illegal action,ie entering into the US without proper and legal documentation.Don't you see what the big picture is here ,they don't want to come here, and just be Americans, they want to come here and take over and turn this country into another poverty stricken Mexico.,they don't want to assimilate as your forefathers did they want a bigger better Mexico, here in the US,they disrespect our country's laws they desecrate our flag and disrespect our people by trying to turn every one into a Mexican.I am American I was not illegal ,I was born here as was all my family, and my ancestors were not illegal when they came over to the new world, they were settlers and pioneers that helped carve our a home in this country, and don't give me that crap about we stole the land from the Indians, they were not native to this land their ancestors walked across a land bridge from another continent,so they immigrated here too.
Wake up Americans to the real world and the real agenda of LaRaza and its members.

Well my native American friend, alien would mean someone who plans not to make a life here. Immigrant would mean someone who plans to become part of society. So it really depends on the individual. Some people who cross illegally plan to make the U.S. their home, while others come to do jobs you wouldn't dream of.

I am certain from your tone that your people have been in this country since the last ice age.

They are immigrants but illegal.
Most are not trying to do anything but make a decent wage.
They are immigrants, just like the Irish, Germans, Italians,
And pretty much any of your ancestors.
But they are illegal because they didn't go through the proper channels to become citizens.
Unfortunately, they don't plan to go through them.
And they are trying to change the country to fit their wants.
And I'll bet you don't have a size 12 except in your mind.

I agree, If you want to be Americans, there is a legal way to do it. All this protesting our laws, is messed up.... If we let the Mexicans, enter illegally, we might as well just let everyone, in.... No more passports, No more Security. Our Country would fall...

Personally I've always been less than happy with the PC version....Undocumented Workers. It sounds about as offensive as...Uninvited Party Guest.

Illegal it is and that's what it should be called.

where is your family from? everyones family came here from somewhere else. If you were trying to improve things for your family and you lived there, you would probaly do the same things, instead of worrying so much about guys who come over here and work, why dont ya wory about the poeple that are here and dont work, the people you pay to stay at home while you go to work
