Kidding, I just wanted your attention. Please answer, I want to see your opinon, this is not a set up.
Many of you say that you "love" the immigrants, as long as they are not illegial. You say the illegial ones mess up the schools, crowd the neighborhoods, speak spanish, etc, etc.
Let's say they start coming legally. They will still speak spanish, and there will still be a lot of them. They will continue to have babies and take jobs for lower wages (because they will NOT have money even if they are legal). They will be doing the exact same things they are doing now with the exception that they will know how to speak English and they will be legal.
What will you say then?

triple... so what you are saying is that even if they are legal, you would still have a problem with them? Why? (I'm really interested to hear)

UGH...you say I'm ignorant but you don't even say why. I don't see how this is ignorance. Its a freaking what-if question.

Tell us what's going to happen to all these people working dead end jobs with no insurance, no benefits what are these people intending to retire on? Bringing more kids into the world only brings further poverty. I don't see illegals or turned legal advancing very much their too stuck on what would Mexico do and remain an uneducated part of the human race who keep repeating the same mistakes over and over that put them in poverty the first place. History does repeat it's self

The laws are there for a reason. They limit the number who can come to a number our services can support, and a number that can assimilate with other newcomers into a blend of culture (rather than blocks of culture) which is how we like things here. Those who come legally according to those laws, we don't have a problem with.
We would have a problem with changing those laws so they no longer protected our schools and services, since then we would have the same kind of degraded education and health care based on our having to subsidize too many poor foreigners as we have now.
However, if our laws let in others (not those who came against the law, there are some who will never like those) and those others came in in the same numbers etc. legally, we couldn't blame them, we would blame our politicians, and would kick them out of office.
Their knowing how to speak English would definitely lessen their impact on the schools, and would be an improvement, though.
However, the reason every developed country on the planet has laws limiting the number of poorer, less educated immigrants who can come, is because their taxes do not anywhere near cover their costs in things like education.
Your question ignores the fact that there were real problems that our current laws were designed to address.

Whats up with people thinking all illegals are mexican? We do have so many other cultures in this country that are also illegals. I dont know about any Mexicans blowing up buses, flying planes into buildings or creating havoc other than taking jobs that most legal americans dont want anyway why not give these people a break they are hard workers and are just trying to do exactly what our founding fathers did after all America was built on the backs of immigrants.

There's immigrants that speak English and there's some that only speak spanish. There's American Citizens that only speak spanish and some that only speak English. I think whether the minuteman like or dont like it there is always going to be Immigrants in this Country, and also families of the immigrants. So anyone who does not like the immigrants being here, get over it because you going to see the for the rest of you life. Unless you decide to go to a deserted Island where you dont see anybody or speak to anyone.

Personally I don't care if someone is in any country illegally...granted, I'm not in the States and we don't have that kind of problem or at least, to the extent that the States does. I do however believe that no matter what country you are in...you should be able to speak the language...I don't believe when someone enters another country they should expect to have the same things they did in their own countries...you have to adapt to the American way of life or get out...it's a choice each person should have made before thinking on moving there...Why should a country conform, they shouldn't...the immigrants should! That's only my opinion though...I could be wrong...

Nothing wrong with doing things the right way.In fact there are now many immigrants from different countries now.Legal immigrants are less likely to create any trouble when they are away from their homeland.
BTW Legal migrant do not put the burden on their host nation, because it is the law they abide to.

If they come into the country legally, they are document. As such they work legally, thus paying taxes the same as the rest of us. Since they pay taxes, they are entitled to the same benefits as the rest of us. Also this takes away the "slave labor" from companies who employ them illegally. BTW> I'm married to an immigrant.

i havent read anyone elses answers but after readin what u wrote, id like to say this...illegal or not, the aliens/immigrants have more beneftis than actual citizens who might be in the struggle. every 7-11 in my neighborhood is owned by a "dothead" yeah i said it. every nail salon is owned by a "chink", yup did it again, and every last restaurant i go to or have ever worked in has AT LEAST one poor a$$ mexican dishwasher/bus boy who im SURE aint legal..these foreigners have many more opportunities than we do. Tax breaks, ooportunities for business, fresh credit score and so on..its not fair and i think ill be moving elsewhere because of it...

I know Mexicans that were born here and don't speak the language! It sucks. My friends 80 years old grandma came here from the Philippines and learned to speak English. I think the US caters too much to them... and my family is California/Mexican. (Mexicans that have been in California since it was Mexico)

I know not what an "illegial" is, & I have yet to meet a Mexican who cannot spell "illegal", but many Americans such as yourself have much trouble spelling this word. Perhaps this is why they come to America? They wish to teach you to spell properly?
