Immigrants are always working in the fields, picking tomatoes, strawberries, etc., and do you ever see an American working there??? NO, because they think those jobs are only for immigrants. Then why are they opposing an immingrant reform?? Who is going to do those jobs if immigrants are not here??

All the people I know have an issue only with ILLEGAL immigrants, not with any other kind. The immigration laws exist for good reason and should be obeyed. I have been an immigrant, working in many countries abroad, and found it a very enriching experience -- I was always legal, however, with proper paperwork and such. Even the legal immigrants here have an issue with the illegal ones, which is understandable.

I don't think that americans are opposed to immigrants so much as they are the ILLEGAL immigrants here that are working and not paying into SS or taxes! It's cool that they will do all the hard labor, because that is all they can get(not being a citizen and all) as soon as they become citizens, unless they go to school, they can have the better jobs, but they can also pay the taxes they are supposed to in this country!

They oppose immigrant reform because the immigrants that want the reform are illegal. They are the ones that leech off the system getting benefits that they do not pay for. I have no problem with immigrants wanting reform if they are legal, but the illegal one should keep their mouth shut and be happy that they are here undetected.

Are you talking immigrants? or illegal immigrants?
I mean if you are talking semantics you need to explain yourself.
Immigrants have always started out doing the smaller jobs and work themselves up, and usually do a good job of it. Illegal immigrants are breaking our laws and using our tax money and not paying taxes to boot.
I work in construction and do the little and big jobs. If I know someone working beside me is an illegal immigrant I will report him. If he is a legal he is my friend.

We have reached a "chicken and the egg" paradox in America. We whine about illegal immigrants coming in with all of their problems, yet we all recognize that their cheaper wages for jobs many Americans won't do is essential to our economy.
So the answer is simple, people will keep whining, but nothing will change. Why would it, when the people don't want it.

That is a misconception. There is no job in this country that an American citizen will not do. It's a matter of payment for the work done; illegals will work for slave wages and American citizens require a living wage.

Because the hard labor used to pay more until illegals started to take over, now you cant find a good paying labor job..FACT JACK

I'm only against ILLEGAL immigration. I think it's wonderful that people want to come here, so just do it legally. My ex's parents came here legally.
