Use some rollers, or a curling iron to give it some body. To keep the curl in, spray your hair a bit with some hair spray, let it dry, then curl your hair. Go through it loosely with a wide-toothed comb, (also called a volume comb). "Teasing" or "back-combing" the roots (with a smaller-toothed comb)-will give it a thicker appearance at the scalp, and hold the style longer-(followed up with a bit more finishing hairspray)-but this technique requires practice, so start practicing now to get the right look that you want. I would suggest an accessory like a flower or head band. Possiably use a thickening shampoo. I as a non professional, have used powder on friends and family with thinning hair and it has worked very nicely...Good luck at the "special" get together! If you feel beautiful, you will look beautiful as well...:).....

either use a wig,clip on ponytail from the beauty supply store. to be sassy .or use color spray or colorful hair clips or ribbons ,a scarf. be creative.go to a salon or look at magazine for inspiration.

straighten it around your face shape or pin back a lump at the front of your hair and leave the rest down you could always tong it or scrunch it with moose while its wet

put some curls in it, then piece them out with a tiny bit of pomade, put in a pretty barrette, spray with a little bit of glitter
