When you need to do something really bad, your mind will keep reminding you of it. That happens to me and I don't think its OCD. Better not be! For example, when you're about to go on vacation and there's still a week left, aren't you thinking about that A LOT? I think it's about the same thing. So no, I don't think you need to see a therapist, unless you're under a lot of stress, depressed, or have these thoughts every single moment and second.

OCD is more than just thoughts, it's actions too. If you think repeatedly that you MIGHT not have locked the door but trust yourself to keep driving to work, don't be too stressed, it's simple worry. In OCD you HAVE to go back and check the door (or the coffee pot or the stove or the faucet). My son has OCD and would constantly erase his writing in school because it wasn't perfect, or adjust his shirt because the neck tag was a bother to him. He asked the same questions repeatedly, even though he was given answers. In OCD you simply can't stop your thoughts or actions because of the thoughts won't let you, no matter how hard you try. (watch Monk on USA, it's classic behaviour). As for therapy, if you are concerned a visit to a therapist wouldn't hurt. Any competant therapist will will be able to help you know if its OCD or simply worry and anxiety in a visit or two max.
Good luck, I wish you the best.

It could be an obsession, but that doesn't mean you have obsessive compulsive disorder. It just means you are human.
For OCD to be present, you need to have a repetive action to ease this obsession, like hand-washing for example. It has to be for an extended period of time, and disturb your life to the point that you lose your job, relationship, or other station in your life.
You are having obsessive thoughts. It's a good idea to see a therapist just to feel better and more in control of your life, but you don't have OCD - just maladaptive thinking.

OCD can manifest itself in many ways...with some people, it is constant checking, or putting things in specific order, and they HAVE to be that way...with some people, it is hypochondriac, fear of getting illness, and obsessive thoughts about it..or having to perform the same rituals over and over everyday, or not feeling like you can leave the house till you do...there are many things. but the good news, is that it is usually from a lack of serotonin in the brain, ergo a physical problem that affects the mental part...but can be treated with therapy and good meds...Luvox is a life saver..and having the same thoughts over and over can be a small sign...best to talk to someone. Good luck, and God Bless

You may just have a problem that is bothering you. OCD has other symptoms and lasts longer than two weeks. What is bothering you?

ocd is when you have a compulsion to do something over and over constantly. feeling something bad will happen if you don't. you feel you cannot stop yourself.
see a therapist for what is happening to you especially if the thoughts are bad. you could be ADD or ADHD. they have trouble controlling their thoughts.

No that is not OCD.
An example of OCD would be like having to wash your hands like 30 times a day

How does it feel? Do you feel better when you think these things? Worse when you try not to? Do you 'have to' so something bad won't happen? Go to a psychologist or psychiatrist and get a diagnosis if it is worrisome. Therapy might not do any good and you need a diagnosis first.
