When I say violent migrains, I mean vomiting, passing out, no sound, light etc. They are horrible. Am I alergic to peanuts, and if so why don't I have the usual alergy symptom to them (hives, not being able to breathe, etc) ??

My guess is that you are so allergic to the peanuts that you go straight to the migraine and vomiting rather that the hives. Probably means you are VERY allergic to them. My guess. Not a doctor though. Your body is trying to get that toxin out fast!
A person who is just mildly allergic to peanuts may just get hives.

This could be like eating a rather poisonous mushroom. I've heard if you eat these, you don't get the hives you just vomit and have pain. Except poisonous mushrooms are usually much worse than your case.
Sounds like your body is accepting anything with peanuts as a TOXIN along with an allergic reaction. Could be wrong though.
Everyone is different on the effect of toxins. You might want to ask you doctor about this though.

Migrains can be allergy symptoms. You need to stay away from peanuts and peanut products (including anything made with peanut oil).

As horrible as your migrains are...you are really lucky that you don't have severe reactions to them. Some people are so allergic they need an epi-pen on hand and/or have to be rushed to the hospital. Be careful, because your reactions could change.

I agree with everyone else: You're allergic to peanuts and anything made from peanut oil.

As a point of reference about "regular": symptoms: I am allergic to peanuts. When I eat them, my throat swells inward and swallowing becomes difficult for a day or two.

I also have migraines, though from blood pressure. The peanut oil may be affecting your cardiovascular system. I suggest, strongly, you see both a cardiologist (you may have underlying problems the peanut discovered) and an allergist.

There are all kinds of allergies. If I were you, I would stay completely away from peanuts and peanut oil. Be sure to read labels. Peanuts are in a lot of things. Maybe next time you could get an anaphylactic reaction!

I would see a neurologist, but allergies have been known to be migraine triggers. Once the histamine reactions begins, those chemicals produced may be triggering your body into the migraine reaction instead of anaphylaxis.

That sounds rough!

Sometimes the headaches are the symptoms. Tentatively I would say yes, there is an allergy- a mean one. A reaction at least that you will wish to avoid.

Good luck!

Alleriges can present in many different ways-- and so far, you haven't had the anaphylactic reaction.
Don't push your luck-- stop eating peanut anything.

Get an appt. with an allergist if you want more info on it.

It's YOUR allergy, not the others', and it's YOUR BODY telling YOU in it's own way, don't eat peanuts!!!!!!!! Sweet and Simple, and painful as hell if you disobey, huh?! God Bless you.

You need to see an allergist to help you and diagnose you. Simply because you vomit and pass out, this does not mean you have migraines - please do not self diagnose. You should call an allergist and set up an appointment as soon as possible to figure out treatment for you.
