It can definitely be helpful to do so, but if you do make sure you have several days or a week off from anything stressful afterwards before taking the actual test. You will need to have a very relaxed mindset, and be well rested to do your best.

Basically everyone can improve their SAT scores by studying. If you find that you are not able to study on your own or that, for you, class/group study is materially more effective, then take a class or work with a group. There are typically a variety of options so shop around and find one that presents information in a way you are comfortable with and that is cost effective. Good luck.

Take the classes. It will give you an idea of what to expect on the tests, and will make you feel more confident and at ease when you take the tests.

Argh, tell me about the SATs, I'm so scared of the test already and I'm on my junior year, hey e-mail me, maybe we can exchange information about the SATs and all. If you need the class, go for it.

trust me you should take the prep class b/c it will help you alot, ALOT so take it. I been there it was extremely hard for me i have a chance to take a prep course but i didnt take it. i regret it now. but i plan to take it again, and im taking alot of classes to prepare for it.
