I don't think at 11 you should be on a diet. If you are over weight you should exercise and watch what you eat. A diet is not necessary. You should go to the doctor you may have some problem that you do not no about. Which may cause you to gain extra weight. I was overweight when I was younger. I never cared about it at all. I no today its Little different for you girls but when you are ready to do it you will. At this time all i can recommend is stay active and have fun. Oh by the way milk is very fatting drink water instad and do not eat diet products they are even worse for your body. They will keep your body from losing weight with all the poisons in the aspertain.

no--you are 11 and growing into a new body. your body is changing and as you grow taller you will thin out. however, if you are eating unhealthy foods you will eventually be over weight. you just need to learn how to eat better. eat healthier and exercise. you should be drinking milk and lots of water. don't eat a lot of cakes/cookies. turn off the tv and do something active like dance to the radio, help with house or yard work. play sports.
...whatever you do...don't diet. love yourself & be happy. don't look toward "skinny" as being what you should be...you should just be "healthy" & "happy".
if you ever feel overwhelmed with something you should talk to someone you trust. if not your mom/dad then a teacher/counselor at school.

Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way we have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.

Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Links page has gov. BMI calculater to find out just how much overweight you are. Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

Milk has a lot of calories. Count calories.
weigh every week, when you get where you want start adding calories until you stop losing.
Need a really good calorie counter and don't ever eat sugar or starch. Eat fruit, vegetables, whole grains and you little snacker stop it. No more snacks. Eat a balanced meal.
time yourself, we get 15 min for breakfast and 15 min for lunch
and 15 for supper. Then leave the table and don't eat again.
A hungry person eats until he isn't hungry. A glutton eats all the time.

No, you're hitting puberty so eat what you should eat: 3 to 4 meals a day and not being 100% full each time, cut the the sugary, fatty and fried food. Excercise.

You don't have to call it a diet. Just change your eating and do some exercise (or play outside). You can still have snacks...just not as many and try to have healty snacks too.

I watch my weight too. I see it go up and up and up...
Just kidding!! It is not bad. You should not worry about being on a diet as long as you have a healthy lifestyle.
