English is my second language, and I've heard people saying "16 candels" and I'll like to know what they mean by this. Thanks.

It's "16 candles" which is a song of a girl who turned 16. The 16 candles are what's on her cake.

When it's your birthday, the cake usually has the same amount of candles as your new age. 16 candles represents the age 16 which is a memorial age since people are more mature and can get their license.

For a teenagers ( usually a girl ) birthday. 16 is a big deal over here for some reason, Lots of songs written about being 16. example, Chuck Berry's sweet little sixteen
