PSAT is the preliminary scholastic aptitude test. When applying for college, the admission committee will look at your PSAT scores; however, your SAT score will be given more weight. PSAT scores do have a purpose. If you do well on them, you will be eligible for a federal scholarship worth thousands of dollars.

the PSAT is an exam that is similar to the SAT that is administered to give u a fell for what it's like to take the real thing. If u score high enough on the PSAT, you are considered a National Merit Scholar. The SAT is the actual exam that you take to be considered for certain colleges. That is the score you will use for your college application. You will NEVER use ur PSAT score on a college application. By the way, the PSAT is also known as the National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test.

I hope this helped you!

there is basically the PSAT & SAT. PSAT is a prep SAT in keeping with a 80pt device in each and each section which could be switched over surely to get a picture of what your rankings would appear like in case you probably did the SAT. SAT is in keeping with a 800pt device in each and each section totaling for sum over 2400pts in a position to take transport of. i'm specific a ridicule SAT is such as PSAT yet a ridicule attempt is in many cases used for added training.

The PSAT is usually an old version of the SAT, it is used to practice for the SAT and the scores do not affect your record.

PSAT is like a practice test for the real thing which is the SAT.

Like someone said earlier, P-SAT's are Pre-SATs. They're essentially practice tests - scores don't count, but it's still helpful to take one, since it simulates the SAT exactly.

EDIT: After noticing your change to the question, I doubt anyone's going to help someone who's so rude. You didn't exactly clarify your original question, so you can't blame people for answering that way (but the obnoxious answers were rude; however, your reply was equally rude).

the PSAT is the pre test, it's basically there just to prepare you for the real one, I would highly suggest taking it, because in most cases you get (if only a small bit) of a tutoring session before you have to take the real one.

PSAT is a pre-test. The scores don't count.
