would it be legal for americans who own legal fire arms to all go to the usa mexican border and patrol it our selfs just untill they get it fixed

Perfectly legal , thats what the Minuteman do , hopefully they start opening fire on them

alot of the border is on private property, so you would have to have the owners permission, Next of course alot of the border has no real "line" so it is hard to tell exactly where the border is.
And of course you would have to meet the legal requirements of carry a firearm in that state.
Next of course you can be standing there with your gun and merely smile and watch them walk past. you can not use force to detain them if they would not just stop for you,
and of course since the border is covered with heavy armed people from mexico, either thier police or drug runners ( often their police take bribes and help move things across border)
so unless you are going to have a dozen men with heavy arms and automatic weapons, you best stay home.

Sure. But if you shoot anyone, you will be in deep doo doo. So I would discourage such a thing unless you are authorized by the border patrol or have an organization backing you (the Minute Men??) that can help you in case you get tangled into a lawsuit.

Yes, but the government would spend more time and money watching you, rather than the border. The right to bare arms shall not be infringed (except for the 20,000 gun laws).

Well, if the people coming across were armed looters the government would be begging us to do that.
One of the basic functions of a National Government is to defend the borders. If its not doing that we need to change the national government starting with your congressman and senator. Then mine.

Yes, head down there and kill each and every bastard that wants a better life. I do not condone illegal immigration, but I do value human life, even yours. The laws we have in place need to be better enforced. That would solve most of our problems.
