I'm scared to death of what could possibly happen to my baby girl, and she isn't even a year old yet. I get so worried that I start crying. Too many sick, twisted, pedophiliac people out there. I know it gets worse when they get into their teens. I guess the best things I can do is communicate with her, protect her, and love her.

I am often over-protective with my daughter. She is 17 and I am having trouble letting her become independent.I dont know why parents are more protective of daughters..we just see them as little girls...no matter how old they are....and we dont want anyone to ever hurt them....Take Care!

I have a 16 y.o. son and i will warn you. He is a great kid, respectfull and wonderful with good grades and a great attitude and always respectfull. But he still doesnt know how to treat women, he's just too young to understand how important their pureness and love is. PROTECT her beyond your wildest dreams.

Of course! When my oldest daughter began dating I met the young man for a few minutes. In that conversation I informed him of my one rule: "Make my daughter cry and you cry!"

Yes!! That is because when you have a boy, you only have to watch one boy. But, when you have a girl, you have to watch "all" of the boys. We have to protect our princesses.
