I get bruises really easily. How do I prevent them?

Witch Hazel is supposed to be good for bruises - getting rid of them quicker I mean. Some people just bruise more easily. If you are young I can't see blood pressure having much to do with it. I know old people's bruises are terrible, we change so much physiologically as we get older.

My mum is a nurse she always told me to put ice straight on the soar spot before it turn into a bruise. If you get bruised a lot maybe you should see a doctor to see if you haven't got leukaemia

I get bruises easily too. I need to be more careful not bumping into things!!

Apply pressure right away to the spot where you were bumped. also you can put rubbing alcohol on that area, it helps reduce the bruising. The alcohol also works when you smash your hand in a door.

You can't. Although if you're like me, making sure you're not anemic might help, as well as raising your blood pressure if it's low. But beyond that, you're pretty much stuck with it.
Also ask your doctor about your circulation and general health. SOmetimes, they can be associated with that.
