There are so many options. What color are your appliances and your floors and counters?
Mine are white too and I painted my walls grey/taupe. My appliances are black, so I did earth-toned artwork with black frames to blend it all together.

What color are your counter tops and appliances? I have white beadboard cabinets, Mediterranean blue Corian countertops (which are a granite-like pattern of different shades of blue and a bit of gray), and white appliances. I have white tile backsplashes with insets of patterned blue and white tiles, and I painted the walls a light blue which I picked from one of the colors in the counter top. I love it! But I love blues of all shades. In the end, your own personal preferences are what you need to go with. The beauty of white is that you can choose anything to go with it. (And don't be afraid to try something different - you can always paint over it if you don't like it. Just get a sample size of paint first to paint a big square of color on the wall to see how it looks in different lighting during the course of the day. Then be brave!)

It sounds like you have a lot of black, white and stainless in your kitchen so the color you choose has to be based on the overall look you want. If you want dramatic, choose a shade of red. Gold or yellow will soften the look and cozy it up. Look at what color is in most of your accessories, dishes, etc. I think just about anything would work, since black and white and basically neutals.

Try white paint with a tint of "rose pink". It looks really good, especially when you turn on the lights at night. It makes your walls reflect a kind of pinkish purple, and it'll go great with the white white cabinets. I just had mine done 2 weeks ago and it looks fab!

It depends on your personality (bold or pastel or neutral): whatever makes you happy in there.
I like daisies. So painted walls yellow. After I finishing, observed it was so YELLOW & ugly, I didn't want to try another shade of yellow. Gave up and repainted the whole thing off-white. Moral of the story: After you pick the color, careful picking the shade.

Red would work, so would yellow, but if you want something a little different, you could try a teal or turquoise shade. It would be kind of mid-century modern--like diners from the 50's or 60's.

Light light light lemon yellow. If you have a large expanse of wall, it is really pretty if you make a stripe of another shade of yellow - it looks like wallpaper. Dressy looking.
