Ask where you can find obedience training at your local pet shop or vet. When you get there ask what method of training they use. You'll get the best results from clicker training (look it up on the net) or any other form of training that uses positive reinforcement.

If you see the trainer hitting dogs, yelling at dogs or any other kind of punishment: run! (don't forget your dog)

I took my dog to the obedience class at PetsMart. I absolutely loved it. They do not believe in any form of punishment at all.

lol, i dunno, try a training course. the only thing i know works is a trick to get a dog to stop jumping. fold your arms over your chest and look up. i dont know why, but after a minute, they just stop.
