i think you have an inherited chemical imbalance. please go to a psychiatrist who specializes in cases like yours. bring mom and sis if you can. it may take a few weeks to start seeing results- be patient. but in the end, your family and everyone around you will appreciate you for taking the time and effort to improve your attitude.

I was married to a woman for 15 years who had the same problem. She seemed to just not be able to help herself. Out of nowhere....complaints, bitching....it was like a roller coaster ride. The highs were very high, and the lows were very low. We had a good life, a lovely home on 2 acres, we both made plenty of money, our children were a pleasure to be around...never any trouble....but something would click in her and she would start bitching about the most unimportant, inane things. I had to divorce her, I couldn't take it anymore...I am an upbeat and happy person and she was bringing me so very down. I asked her to get help, but her answer was religion...that didn't help at all. PLEASE, for your own good and the good of those around you, seek professional help. Don't go to some prescription crazy quack that wants to medicate you into a coma...find a real professional who will help you get to the root of your problem and help you solve or cure or treat it. You could have some psychological issues, chemical imbalances, or even be manic...but it takes someone who knows the symptoms and signs to diagnose that. I loved my wife, and wish she would have gotten REAL help...don't make the same mistake.

Try to always put things in perspective. Imagine how much worse it could really be for you out there and then take a look at all the good things that you have. That usually helps me realize that I'm acting foolish and should just be thankful for what I have. Yes, it could always be better, like the wonderful life of those spoiled little brats you see on MTV, ect.., but unfortunately we live in the REAL world (no pun intended).

See a Dr. who can refer you to a therapist. Sometimes a chemical imbalance can create this. Try to stay away from your mother and sister for awhile. They only bring you down.

You may need to see a doctor to evaluate you. Sometimes keeping things to ourselves or memories from the past can make us angry or bitchy. You may be experiencing depression. Mood swings is normal for people who are depressed.

OK, listen there is a reason as to why you come home and your a *****, excuse the language. you probably have a very stressful job and then coming home to your living situation doesn't help matters. my little sister is always cranky due to hormones, so you might want to check that out as well. don't go to the trouble of seeing some one to help, IT DON'T WORK. trust me i know. if none of that helps, try taking a vacation. it might relieve stress and smooth everything and you will not be so...... *****.

OK I have been for counselling for a much different reason but I was told to stop hurting myself, I should either write things down or draw a doodle or go for a walk with my dogs.

You already answered your own question. Follow your mom's
example, and see someone. Meanwhile, try to control your negativity as you apparently already know you have nothing to
be negative about. It can become a really bad habit if you let it
go unchecked, and you're right,it can really turn people off.

OK, here is your assignment: force yourself to smile for a full minute whenever you feel a "bitchy" moment coming on. It sounds corny, but for me it's physically impossible to remain crabby after doing this exercise (of course, I hide to do it.)
