Abramic Religions have come to dominate much of the global culture because of their success in motivating communities of faithful believers to out work, out fight, and out number the rest of the world.

Well Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all have their roots in the same place. Abraham is the father of Islam and Judaism and Christianity comes from Judaism. All of these religions believe in One True God. What this says to me is that the One True God really does exist. Its just that people are imperfect and can't figure out exactly how He wants to be worshiped. I personally am a Christian.

Judaism really is not a dominant religion. Judaism is the founding religion of Christianity and Islam ( idea of monotheism, and many philosophies are borrows from Judaism).
In terms of followership, Buddhism and Hinduism are far more larger than Judaism.
Christianity and Islam are the predominant religion in Americas, and Middle Asia, with much of Africa, and most of far-east.

They are only the dominant religions in the West. In the East, it's Buddhism, Hinduism, Taoism, etc.
But in the West, it's not as if people don't have a choice of religions - there are many of them to choose from. And Christianity itself displaced countless small pagan religions when it first spread across Europe, so there is obviously an appeal to it. One advantage is that it teaches that God is a loving, forgiving figure, while some earlier beliefs (such as the Greeks and Romans) conceived of their gods as hateful, petty, characters who were almost as evil as Man himself. Also, it teaches that there is a happy life after death (as opposed to the old Roman idea of Hades, or the nonexistence of atheism), that we will be reunited with our lost loved ones and live forever in a world of peace and justice - and isn't that what we all want to believe?

They all share a common beginning. They all believe in the majority of the Old Testament. They all share Abraham as a major player - that's why they're all refered to as Abrahamic religions. They all deal with one, true God. They've all lasted the longest as strong religions. Need I go on?
