I love Labs. I had a Lab/Golden retriever mix named Alex. He's been deceased since 2001. I got him when he was 2 years old. In 1990 after I had to have my Afghan Hound put to sleep, my brother called me over to his house one day. When I got there I started playing with his dog . He excused himself and went out thru the kitchen to the back door and opened it. And another dog came running in. Then he told me, the dog I had been petting was Alex. He had played a joke on me. He told me he had found Alex tied up in a garage where the people had moved away and left him there. Alex became my pet and best friend from that day forward. Thanks for letting me tell this story!!

My dog's name is Bailey.
She is a 75lb lab/viszla mix.
She is the biggest huggable dog on the planet.
In the morning I usually find her on top of my legs in bed.
When the alarm goes off she lays on top of me to keep me in bed. All she wants is a little attention and then I can get ready for work... but it is the cutest thing you have ever seen!

Brandy: she is a 5m old black lab we adopted from the humane society.
shes a great dog. they do need obediance training though. and there great with children(our daughter is 15months)
id suggest to anyone for a first dog..a lab is an excellent choice.

Our dogs name was Brownie. Yes was he died a few years ago. He was very protective of the family and when he died, he died at the very entrance to our yard. We like to think he wanted to protect us even after death.

I love all retrievers! They are so energetic. I don't have a lab, but a flat coat named Casey.

They drive me crazy...so I call them the BRATADORES.
When they sleep, I always say they're recharging their BRATTARIES...hee hee
