To take the supernatural element out of deities and just make them vessels for moral behavior would totally upend what most make their beliefs on. To them the deity has to have both the supernatural and the moral. This is why most don't think unbelievers have morals because we reject the supernatural and separate the two.

Er, have you read the Bible, the Torah, or the Koran? "Refined" is one word I'd never use to describe god or most of his friends.
Also, I think it should be emphasized that religion/god really has nothing to do with morality. Long before most of us are old enough to read the bible or think about religious belief, we're already able to figure out that some things are wrong and if you do those things then people will be sad, or angry, and that's not good. That's morality, and it does not require god.
So when believers try to claim a monopoly on morality, I cry "FOUL!" because it just ain't so.

Because words mean things. A refined sense of morals is called "a refined sense of morals." The word God is used to denote something else, namely a non-corporeal surrogate parent for the intellectually infantile.

Dear Judaspriest: He is . . .just that. It's that thing inside your Self that knows better. It's that thing inside your Self that knows others are equally important as you. . .that sometimes what they need is more important than our Self interest.
"Fail not your brothers, or you fail yourself. Look. . .[good naturedly] on them, that they may know that they are part of you, and you of them." Beyond the Great Separation - ". . .in our memory is the recall how dear our brothers are to us in truth, how much a part of us in every Mind, how faithful they have really been to us, ( we are all in it together - this Separation - within the One Mind - our channel to each other), and how our Father's Love contains them all."
You can achieve the refinement of the Father and never attend a church or read the Bible. Just one-on-one with Jesus and the Holy Spirit teaching you. . . as you listen.

really dont know what your asking.but as for GOD refineing
morals,Its a little late to expect that GOD would somehow lower
his perfect laws and commandments,to suit some persons idea
that his requirements are to rigid,or restricting for them to live up
to.Gods perfect laws and moral codes have been in existance
since he created mankind, they werent "refined" in Noah's day and
I dont believe they will be today.I know they wont!!
