I live in atlanta georgia and I want to lose weight.Basically cuz I am a 13 and weigh 185lbs.I will never be healthy if I don't lose weight .I love dancing but don't know if I should just diet and work out with machines or have fun losing weight while Dancing.??????

Dancing is a great source of exercise.So is pilates. Don't eat stuff that has flour or sugar in it.Eat veggies,fruits,wheat bread and noodles with lean meats and the weight will melt off.Good luck

Yes of course! But you have to eat less too... instead of eating less and exercising... eat less and dance more!! It sounds like a very fun healthy way to lose weight, and you'll get better at dancing which is always a plus. You'll lose more weight by doing an exercise (dancing) that you like!

Yes! Dancing is as good aerobic exercise as any. Dance your heart out. Take a dance class if it sounds like fun. The more fun you have exercising, the more you will want to do it. The more you look forward to exercise, the more you exercise, the more weight you lose.

And stay away from junk food--it tastes good but is really a long-term poison that will destroy your health slowly.

Change your diet and dance your heart out. I'm not a teenager but I put on some fun dance music everyday and dance like crazy for 20 minutes. It's great cardio exercise.

Get on track with a healthy diet, but use DANCE as your exercise. You can dance and burn lots of calories. But you still have to watch what you eat. Exercise doesn't have to hurt or be boring. A lot of gyms offer dance classes now because hey, not all of us can stay on the treadmill.

What's your diet like right now? do you measure your portions at all?

Definitely. It is a great way to lost weight. If you are in to classic rock and oldies, look into Richard Simmons tapes. He is a little goofy, but the music is good and fun.
