In our English class we sing "The end of the world" of Davis Skeeter. The lyrics we use, that is printed in Japan, says "It ended when you say Goodbye". I think "said" is correct instead of "say" from English grammar. Please teach me.

yep it is "said" not "say"

"why does my heart go on beating, why do these eyes of mine cry? don't they know its the end of the world? It ended when you said goodbye"

I remember the song. It ends, "...it ended when you said goodbye..."

The translator probably just had trouble with Skeeter's drawl.

You are right. Ended is in the past so it has to be said or else the sentence would be: "It ends when you say Goodbye."
