I know....they should use it, but most people don't care, and a lot of ppl do dat n prps (JOKE!!!) A lot of people spell things wrong on purpose (so it doesn't take so long to type), but I think it just makes people look stupid.

well...i think its becuz ppl think that its 2 time consuming and not wirth the effort to check the spelling over when ppl can just assume ppl will understand....

I guess because e-mail and yahoo forums is very informal. But it could also be we are just all getting lazy.
