Some electronic stores do sell wireless headsets now that are not bluetooth. I saw it at my local Frye's store.

Yes. It's called a Bluetooth Adapter for your phone. There are several manufacturers (Motorola, Cardo, Jabra, and GN Netcom to name a few). It is a device that connects to your phone as if it were a headset (without the long cord) and it takes care of the bluetooth communication with a Bluetooth headset. The Motorola DC600 Cellular Phone Bluetooth® Adapter is available from Radio Shack for $29.97. I would recommend that you verify that it will connect to your phpone (some brands of phones have different headset connectors) whichever unit you plan to buy.

nope.

bluetooth is not just a software thing, it requires bluetooth hardware components built inside the phone too.

also, mobile phones aren't really 'upgradeable' when it comes to new features either, with the exception of memory (card) upgrades.

only by buying a bluetooth enabled phone can you own a phone with bluetooth.
