There's this guy at my work who looks at me ever so often. Sometimes, when he's leaving, he turns around and looks at me before going through the door. We never had any prolonged eye contact, however i always catch him glancing at me when he walks by me or if im in his vicinity. He is several years older than me. Do you think he might be afraid to pursue a relationship because of the age difference?

edit: he's not married, he doesn't have kids, he's in his mid or late 20's.

May be because some work places have a strict code about employee relationship in the work place. Some work places have a code of ethics, that one have to go by.

Secondly, is this guy married with kids etc divorce ????? Those are questions you have to look at, and find answers too. I'm sure that you are not the only woman working in your working environment, as there may be people that you can confine in and ask some serious questions about this guy.

Do your home work about this guy as to the type of person he is as there must be some one that know about him out side the work environment.

The glancing at you etc, is his way of letting you know that he is interested in you and to start a conversation and see were it leads. If things are genuine between you and him and there is no emotional baggage from some previous relationship. Age then is just a number and it is up to you both to decide, if you two want to have a relationship with each other or not. You seem to fancy the idea if things are genuine !

Interested, but not ready yet to make a move. That or he's married and likes to flirt. If it's not the latter, why don't you initiate. Many guys like to have the girl make the first move to reduce the risk of rejection.

Since you're coworkers, you could reasonably ask him to join you for a cup of coffee or lunch. Then you may find the answer you seek.

I think that he is afraid to pursoe a relationship because he's in fear of rejections, just like most guys are... I mean... We don't choose, the women do...

He is definitely intrested in you. The age difference might be a problem for him, but if he is really into you, then it won't matter to him.
