The American dream has changed through the decades. It used to be to have a house, a family and a job that paid the bills.
Now many Americans have adopted attitudes of excess. The house needs to be a big house filled with lots of stuff...the nicer the better, and must include several tv's. We also need a couple of cars, the more expensive the better, and lastly, we need a great paying job that has a prestigious title. Some how having a family was left out of the new American dream.
