Look at your childs face and you will see the work of our creator,I mean how can you believe in evolution but not in a creator. It makes no sense.

Yes, God is all around us. Many people don't believe in God because they do not see Him. But don't forget what it says in Romans 14:11...For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. Sometimes, the only Bible many people will read is you, the believer. Live your life as an example and carry the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11)

Are you directing that question to all Atheists, because some of us believe that there was a Creator, or Big Bang and who says that "God" didn't send that Big Bang to start everything? I just have problems with the Bible being true and the Jesus story being real.
When I look at my child's face and the world around me I see wonders that I can not describe. I see things that work together for no reason that I can detect. I don't know why these wonders are here and I really don't think you do either. No offense intended. It is too easy to say God did it. But to actually try and picture "what" did it is far beyond our feeble brains. But boy when it is my turn to go I am going to have a blast asking all my questions and I do believe I will get the answers from the Creator or God if you prefer.

[edited after more thought]

While I'm a Christian, I think some of the people here (atheists or otherwise) have explained themselves pretty well using the same sort of logic you used above ... to help you understand where they're coming from.

We can often see what we want to see -- whether that means God or no God. It's hard sometimes to see a new pattern when we're used to seeing the old.

Personally, I've seen and experienced enough of people and what "relationship truth" is to believe in God; but I'm also fully aware of the extensive amount of material developed around evolution and that for some people that sort of knowledge seems more convincing to them.

There are some good sites that discuss the evolution perspective, but some can get a little technical. One I'm still exploring is TalkOrigins.org, but it could be a tough site if you don't know much science to start with or are still young in faith.

I don't want to advise you to go somewhere you're not read to go yet, and maybe you don't have much desire to learn about evolution in depth, and that's okay -- we all have different interests and gifts and function differently -- but it's simply an option if you want to better understand why people believe what they do.

Meanwhile, hang in there; and read through the answers again without feeling bad or intimidated; and use this as a chance to really get a feel for where some other people are coming from. :)

Frankly, your argument sucks. You also cannot assume all atheists agree with the theory of evolution.

If you had only been told that there was a God at the age of, say, fifteen or so...Would you believe it? Tempting as it is to say yes, critical thinking and the ability to look at things logically would probably mean there's a good chance you wouldn't. It's all very well to believe in something, but not if you never question why you do.

And there is no reason for you to question what is solely somebody else's decision.

I'm not atheist but I do believe I can answer this question. It's simple look at the world, not just today's world but the world as it's always been. . .bad, full of sin if you would.
And read your bible, it's contradictory. There are a lot of things that happen today that according to the bible aren't allowed. They're sins. It also says that women are below men. There are many many points that I couldn't even begin to cover.
Either way Good Luck in all that you do!

Wow! Just look all around you! Isn't it obvious that no intelligence could have created the universe you see around you? It's all around you! Just look in a child's face. Don't you see how genetics and development works? How can you possibly believe in a humanistic god with all the evidence around you? It just makes no sense!

See?

What serves you as a substitute for logic and reason is a logical fallacy (a flaw in thinking) known as the "Argument From Incredulity"... which is a sub-category of the "Argument ad Ignorantiam" (Argument From Ignorance). It goes something like this: "I can't conceive of how this might have come to be; therefore, God did it."

That does not represent a limitation of nature... it represents a limitation of knowledge or intellect. Additionally, it is intellectually dishonest... it does not ACKNOWLEDGE the limitation of knowledge or intellect... it appeals to a fanciful, imaginary, supernatural entity to create the ILLUSION that your cognitive dissonance has been resolved. It substitutes 'faith' for fact, and 'belief' for knowledge. Neither faith nor belief are sufficient to sustain reason... they are only sufficient to sustain willful ignorance.

That is the epitome of self-delusion.

I look at my child's face, and see the product of mixing two genetic lines...not god.

Evolution is verifible...god is not. Evolution was the conclusion drawn from years of work and research. Creation is the conclusion, and the work is made to fit it.

I look around myself, I see no god. I see a computer, a printer, a TV, textbook, but surprisingly, no god. I look in my little sister's face (because I don't have any children) and I see the work of my parents.
