A baby girl, because I have a daughter already and she is the most adorable thing, there will be tough times with either gender but no matter what they will be the center of your life and your greatest gift ever.

I would choose a healthy and happy baby.
I wouldn't want to choose which one I had. I think some things happen for a reason, and if I have a boy or girl, it's so that I can teach them the things they would need to know, and so they can teach me things that I need to know in my life.
I think people get way too caught up in gender.

If raising the child alone, a girl, because of what's noted below.
If raising the child with a father, a boy. Boys raised by single women tend to have a lot of problems with authority because of their lack of early male guidance.
In general, the difficulties of raising a girl make me shudder - eating disorders, popularity issues, possible pregnancy, societal barriers. None of that's the fault of the girls, but the adversarial society in which they are raised.

probably a girl cause they seem easier to raise and a lot more loveable and i had a son and he died and i would not wanna compare my next boy to the dreams that i had for my son but i guess that as long as the baby was happy and healthy i would accept either sex but i have my heart set on a little girl when i am finally ready.

if it was the only child that I could have, I would not care whether it was a boy or a girl, just as long as it was healthy and happy. The sex of the child would not matter, just that I had one to love and raise

I would choose a boy. Girls suffer too much. Labor, period, broken heart, or a chance of her being a struggling single parent. Boys have it much easier.
