What they probably said was ALS. ALS stands for advanced life support. When they say this it means that an ambulance with a paramedic (highest level of training for ambulance worker) is dispatched, as opposed to an emregency medical technician (a lower level of training). An ALS patient requiers more than just first aid and a ride to the hospital.

Did you mean an ALS patient? ALS stands of Advanced Life Support, where BLS would stand for Basic Life Support. The difference between the two would be in the type of treatment. BLS patient would be transported with treatment not to exceed giving them oxygen, where an ALS patient would receive IV's and other drugs. I hope this helps.

They say ALS patient. It means Advanced Life Support. Means the patient is more critical and needs an ambulance that is staffed and equipped with paramedics and advanced equipment and medications.
