I am wondering what a good winery in this area is ?

There's a real nice tasting map on the site.

I recommend Salisbury for their Pinot, Talley has good Pinot and Chardonnay. Edna Valley is just OK.

If you drive a bit, you get to Solvang which has some very interesting wineries, some that were featured in the movie "Sideways".

There are many.

South of the airport (just keep going out Broad St) there is Edna Valley. They make really nice Pinot Gris and Chard along with pretty good Pinot Noir.

Alban is good. As is Talley in Arroyo Grande.

Most of the good red producers are acutally up in the Paso area, east or west of the freeway along 46.
