My sister "Janet" I'll say is white. She acts like she is Puerto rican or black. I have nothin wrong with black or puerto ricans, but why does she act like this? All she listens to is rap and reggaeton. She doesnt like to date white guys, only Puerto rican and dominican. She only dates latinos. She also gets made when I say "why do you act black/puerto rican." is there an explanation for her acting like this? she is also schizophrenic and bipolar and paranoid. I am getting tired of her acting like this ~ please help

She just identifies with Latin culture, and has found a niche. Her mental disorders don't really have anything to do with her tastes. Latinos listen to metal, blacks listen to country and whites enjoy rap too (hey, Eminem anyone?)

theres a lot of people with this mental disorder. they hate white people when they themselves are white. And what they dont realize is is that most of the Black "friends" they have hate them too, only they dont show it. Common sense tells you, if you would betray your own race, you would betray another race sooner or later. Common sense.
People like that need to be locked up in an insane asylum for a few months until their attitude is adjusted.
Plus the fact that 67% of black males in the usa have HIV, and 22 % Hispanic, while only %18 of whites do.

Who knows when you are a kid? I thought British music was so cool I started dressing like a mod and using a fake Brit accent at times. It's just a phase and a pretty harmless one.
Just annoy her by talking to her in a Swedish accent or something. She'll get the point if she has half a brain.

I think you may have answered your own question. Mental health might or might not have anything to do with it. She also just may enjoy the different lifestyles and customs of the men she dates. Maybe she feels empowered by acting different than you. It's not wrong for her to date any race. It also could be her age, if she is pretty young, she may be trying to find out who she is. Give it time.

girl some people are just that way. she is who she is or it may be a phase either way you need to try to accept this or it will cause major problems in your relationship with her. my best friend is going through this with her family and she has kids with her boyfriend and now her family and her are distant. so if you truly love your sis then get over it.

Take her out to lunch. Buy her a new shirt at the clearance sales. Just love her unconditionally. If her behavior is unbearable, make the visits short. But please just love her, my dear. Of course it's important to give her sisterly advice. But forgive her since she's your sis.
