talk to a navy recruiter, the only "sniper" program is the navy seals, and that is pretty tough to get accepted into, and even tougher to finish. Or talk to the marine recruiters, they might be able to help you if you aren't seal material.

The only snipers in the US Navy are the Seals. Seal training requires that you be a member of the Navy for at least two years and be accepted for the six month long BUDS course at Coronado CA. Then sniping is just one of many tasks taught to SEAL candidates. You would have a lot better luck with the Marine Corps. They actually have a Sniper MOS and a training school. Then all you would train for is being a sniper. You could try the Army and go Infantry. Ranger training is similar to SEALS Training. There you could be assigned to a LRRP team and be trained to be a sniper.

A sniper for the navy................In 8 years of being in the Navy, deployed all over the world, I have never heard of a Naval Sniper. Hell, I was even at NAB Little Creek for 5 years (the base with where the even numbered seal teams are headquarted at). You need to contact a recruiter ASAP before you do anymore "self" planning.

the navy does not use many snipers, of the roughly 2500 seals maybe 300 are snipers, if you join the navy to become a sniper chances are your more likely to end up chipping paint on the boat. join the marines they have more snipers then any other service and can always use more

Actually, the Navy Seals probably do have snipers. I'd say that you'd have to join first, demonstrate good marksmanship, and then you'd probably be offered a chance to join.

for the navy...if you join the Marines and become a sniper for them, cuz the Marines are a branch of the Navy

join the navy, then exel at marksmanship
but the army would be a better bet for sniping
