how many guys I've been with? Does it really matter? How many is too many for a 25-35 yr old woman? I am thinking of just saying around 30-50. I mean, I don't want to outright lie and if somehow he finds out otherwise, I can always say I don't consider bjs to be sex.
He really wants to know and tells me not to worry about the answer. My girlfriends told me to tell him only a few and then tell him he's the best.

Don't give numbers. A guy wants to hear 1 - 5. He will lose respect for you if you tell him more truthful numbers. I know it sounds hypocritical and as an adult in your age range, he should know that you've probably not a virgin.
If you must give numbers, perhaps you should only count the people you were with in long-term relationships. You can leave out the one-nighters and crazy beach weekends.
Some guys are hung-up on these numbers, I think it's insecurity. I honestly don't care how many people my girl has been with, as long as she's with me now. This guy sounds childish, go find a real man who doesn't care how many people have been with you. I mean, you don't want someone that makes you feel defensive.

I don't see the need to tell him. If you haven't slept with anyone since you've met him, that should be good enough. All it'll do is create a sense of insecurity and distrust.
And for God's sake...don't tell him 30-50!!! You might as well say 300-500!!! If you HAVE to say something, keep it in the single digits (2-3 maybe?).

It is a good thing that you both come clean about past love affairs. For none of us are perfect, and there are things a lot of us did that we wish we could have turn back the hands of time and change a lot of things.
Let your conscience be your guide as in this way you will know what you should say to him about your past love affairs.

"rule of three" - take the real number and divide it by three, that's the number you tell him.
