I have two el-cheapo DVD players they were both new but I can't get them hooked up right what should I do .

I have the cables and an S video. Both come on and the DVD goes in and out but I get no picture so I assume I have them hooked up wrong

if you are using S-Video, you need to make sure your TV is set to the right video input. For instance, my TV has a Input1, 2, and 3 setting, and for S-Video it needs to be to Input2. You can usually change the input from the remote.
