Well, there IS a thing called Chronic Egg Laying syndrome, which does happen particularly in cockatiels who have lost a mate. During this time, you need to be sure to give her extra calcium. You can give her a cuttlebone, and mineral block which you can get at the pet store if you don't already have those things.

Now, to get her to stop...first, try limiting the amount of light she gets per day. Only allow about 8 to 10 hours of light. Daylight can encourage a bird to lay eggs, so limiting it can discourage it. Next, rearrange her cage. She's familiar with her 'egg laying' cage right now, so if you change it, it may seem to her to be a new environment where she doesn't want to lay eggs. For a while, don't pet her back. I know that sounds stupid but she HAD a mate, and male cockatiels preen the females back, which puts them in the mating mood...and causes eggs, and finally, and I know this sounds REALLY dumb, but give her green peas (defrosted frozen ones are okay) for a while. They are SUPPOSEDLY a holistic remedy for chronic egg laying. Good luck!

Your cockatiel must be depressed if she keeps laying eggs like that. My female cockatiel hasnt layed any eggs and we've had both cocketiels for 2 years.
