What types of beds do cats like best?

I am getting a new cat and I was wondering if cats seem to favor one style of cat bed over another...what do you all think???

cats usally just sleep where ever they feel comfartable, my cat sleeps in the strangest places , somtimes we cant even find him, some cats like to be close to their owner( you) so they sleep with u on the bed.

there are cat beds in the stores, but not all cats like them, in fact a lot of cats dont like the materials the beds are made of. i bought a cat bed for my cat but he didnt like it at all, somtimes cats like to sleep in their ... omg what are they called.... kennels... i think anyway the point is to just let your cat sleep where it wants, you can chose to buy a cat bed , but i cant garanty you that it will like it.

My cat has an open wicker basket which she used to sleep in when she was younger but generally she just sleeps anywhere now! We bought her an igloo which she prefers to the more open bed because she feels safer but she's quite a shy cat. It depends what your cat is like! However, you buy them all these beds and they end up sleeping in a cardboard box or at the end of your bed or on the floor etc! If you were to get one I'd probably suggest an igloo-style one (with a roof) because they feel safer but then again it depends whether your cat is the shy or confident type. Probably stick with what you (and your cat) knows best though. =) Hope this helps!

Whatever bed you are on.

I got a free round velour cat bed years ago from sending in some labels from cat food or something and one of my cats likes it well enough but the other 2 don't. It's not like with a dog where you can train them to sleep in one place. A cat is a little wild animal that we let into our house and trust that they won't rip our throats open while we sleep. ha ha.

Actually my kitten is sleeping next to me right now and she's so cute and soft and kitteny. :)

Don't bother with a cat bed unless you don't have a bed of your own, carpet, or comfy furniture. Cats sleep wherever looks cozy at the moment, or wherever you are. Mine took a liking to one of those cushions you tie on to kitchen chairs, so we've had to take it along every time we move :) If you really want to get one, try one of those hammock looking kinds that hang from window sills, most cats love looking out the window and so will sometimes actually sleep in it.

Overall, I think it's a personality thing. My cats prefer my bed or any other humans bed. They also prefer sleeping on a blanket that sits in a chair that isn't used all that much or under the bed. One cat likes to sleep in boxes and another cat likes to sleep on my lap.

My cats really love the cat window beds. I have one that is kinda like a hammock it sinks down a little then the shelf type covered in carpeting.They are really easy to put on your window. takes minutes. Just velcro strips. And they really enjoy this type of beds as they can lay in the sun watch the birds outside.

Truthfully, each time I have bought a cat bed, my cats still prefer sleeping in my arm chair or on the edge of my bed. I would not waste a whole lot of money on one, because most times, they pick a favorite spot in the house. Good luck with the new kitty:)

Just get them a bid fluffy feather pillow with a pillow case. But I guarantee they will want to sleep in bed with YOU their loving owner and not by themselves. But you can also try the soft round ones.

Only one of my 4 cats will sleep in a cat bed. You can also try a basket with a small cushion inside... All 4 of my cats love baskets with cushions inside.

My cat likes my bed, but he also has a small round bed with a pillow, like a little nest, he loves that one too!
