This is a female trait which goes back to pre-historic times. women were alwasy shorter than men, has smaller, hands, and feet than men.
However the last 3 decades have been one of fast foods loaded with hormones, steroids ect. and other things which make women taller, and much heaver than the norm.
For the most part tall women are a recent event and obesity is right there with the height. The feet and hands just have not caught up with the height women are experiencing now. That is because their growth spurt average is due to man made factors( hornmones and steroids in pork, chicken, beef, and even fish which make these aninmals grow larger faster for the market). This also makes children gow too fast, develop too fast, and numerous side effects such as obesity, and health problems.

I am certain that it has something to do with the way males and females are genetically formulated. Generally, the male is usually the larger of the species. For those cases where the female does happen to have larger than normal feet, one might have to examine the other physical dimensions of the person, and what sort of weight distribution might be required to actually suport the individual. That's what I think, at least... Maybe it's just something in the water... Who knows. =)

Look around, women typically weigh less than men, have better posture, don't have beer bellys, and are lighter on their feet, so to speak.
There is a big difference between a 5'6" man built like a fireplug and a 5'6" women who looks like a model. Being tall is not anyway a reflection of weight, girth or body mass, it is only a measure of height.

Typically, women have smaller bone structures than men (though this isn't always the case). It's the reason why men tend to have larger hands and broader shoulders, as well.

Why do women on average have smaller brains than men yet are mostly smarter than men?
It's all to do with genetics and is just one of those differences between the sexes.

I know a girl who's 5'8" and has litle British size 4 feet, and another who's 5'2" and has size seven feet. It doesn't always follow. Men's feet tend to be broader rather than longer, I think.
