many answers to this question. stereo type in this situation is uneducated. i am christian and i have no love for physical life. but my body is the temple of god, if he wanted my life to end he would end it. it is not for me to question. he is the potter i am the clay. i know people who are not christian that value their life very much. very prideful people. and maybe some christians who love mankind and gods creations want to stay here to help other people. i know that wanting to help people is very uncommon, but christians who practice gods words do want to stay and help the less fortunate. we are judged by our works. and if a christian has the pride of life then that is their sin to confess and repent to god. that is between the person and god. god judges accordingly to his rules not anyone elses. and why pick the mote out of someones eye when you haven't picked the mote out of your eye to see clearly to pick the mote out of someone else's eye. worry about your soul because that is the one and only thing in this world that really belongs to you. no one else's soul should be your concern. pride of life is a sin yes but what sins do you have? do you like that question? well christians do not like someone else questioning thier sins because we only have to anwer to our creator and you are not him thank GOD literally.

That's a very good question. I think I understand you. My brother died to drug overdose, but he was a believer. He accepted Christ at a young age and went back and forth with drugs and alcohol. He was a believer, but he was weak and couldn't stay away from the drugs because of circumstances in his life at a young age. I believe he is in heaven because he accepted Christ and yet I suffered tremendously because of his death. If I believe that he's in heaven then I shouldn't be placing value on physical life, but I actually am grieving for myself. The morning of his death I had a dream that he was walking a dog to the other side of the fence in my back yard and I heard a voice say this; Now he will no longer have to suffer. I can only assume that he would no longer have to suffer from his drug addictions.

We value life because that is what the bible teaches. God commanded us to go out in to the world, be fruitful and multiply. As someone said earlier in this message string; God is the potter. He created us, he knows the number of hairs on our head, we are not accidents. He knows how long we will be here on earth. We are his, it is his choice to end our life not ours. We must always enjoy what God provides for us and enjoy the time he gives us.
As a believing Christian you would look forward to the time of eternal happiness but do not be anxious, enjoy what God has given you. Life is not all roses but, a true believer will endure.

Well .. not everyone goes to heaven. You have to live a perfect physical life to be granted into eternal happiness. Otherwise, you burn in hell.
But personally I think Christianity makes no sense and the followers don't know what they're talking about and have an IQ of about 30 and become America's president. Just stating the facts.

Death brings eternal life. Some believe that we may feel regret and sadness for that regret for a period of time, when faced with or failures as human beings. He asks us to live for Him and well we all fail at that, so it is believed that when we stand before Him to account for what we have done to serve Him while here on earth and we are faced with our failures(ie our denial of Him, the failure to witness either verbally or with our actions). I'm not saying that there wont be happiness as we will be with our Heavenly Father. But we are here to honor and glorify His name and He valued human life so much He paid our penalty so that we wouldnt have to.

It depends on how you look at death. If You know that a person is or has been living for God when the sun sets on their life it is something to celebrate. While a person is living it of great importance to help them to live a life according to God's precepts that their death too can be celebrated. Thus resulting in the fact that there is no hope in the grave but as long as there is life there is hope

Life is a gift and we have the opportunity to share the gospel with others, serve God, enjoy life, and to help others. Also, we are a body-soul unity. At the Second Coming of Christ, He will resurrect everyone's bodies and our souls will go back into our bodies, and then it will be the final judgement and the believers will go to be with Him in the New Jerusalem on the New Earth, and the non-believers away to eternal punishment and separation from God. www.equip.org

The answer lies within an imaginary state of the mind.
Religion is a serious mental illness. It’s the inability to face the reality of life and the finality of death. It affects 85% of the USA and 75% of US victims are Christians. The more pathetic and desperate a persons life, the more likely they are to believe in a god. People with otherwise empty lives, are the strongest believers. It gives them false hope that there’s a higher meaning to their sad and pathetic lives.
My studies and research shows that religious people are not exactly rocket scientists, they tend to be below average intelligence, and also have a tendency to be more violent than non-believers. In some cases, the more violent the person, the more religious they are. I suspect that the vast majority of religious people are well below average intelligence.
It’s a statistical fact that the higher your education, income, and intelligence, the more likely you are not to believe in a god. For every college student that converts to a religious belief system, 17 college students convert to atheist beliefs.
Atheists have an average intelligence of 25 IQ points above their Christian counterparts. It’s no wonder why the USA (75% Christian) is so arrogant, aggressive or violent towards others in this world.
Scientists may well discover that people who are predisposed to the “religious or spiritual” gene are probably more likely to also be predisposed to the “warrior” gene, which would ultimately cause these people to have religious conflicts like crusades and wars. It is already a well known fact that religion is responsible for the majority of wars, conflict and murder of innocent life since humanity began.
I hope the above helps you understand a little of their mental world.

Doesn't everyone value their life?
I've been taught that our real, true life is in heaven with God. That this time here on earth is finite, but that life in heaven has no end. That our time here is our training ground. We develop our relationship with God and we learn what gifts and strengths he has given us and we learn how to use those effectively. Then we are prepared for our real, true, eternal life when the day comes when we embark upon it.

because life is a judgement. without it we can only be thrown to dust because we canot experience God's love. we show others our love and spread it throughout the earth and wait for when our day comes to be judged in front of the allmighty so that THEN we may become eternally quenched. before eternal happiness we have to undergo trial, this life is a trial, and the verdict is either eternal happiness, or eternal despair.

because it is GOD OR ALLAHS decision when... where and how we die. ..we CHRISTIANS realize that there is a better place ...but we go when our lord tells us. also we CHRISTIANS realize that suicide is right up there with murder. we are not in control.....again our lord is in control. and i question those who go to eternal happiness taking a lot of other people with them.... making the decision for them... and taking children... who have not even lived long enough. CHRISTIANS relalize that there are beneficial things we must do on earth to help others... and it does not include flying planes into tall buildings..or driving suicide cars/..into crowds of people. that is so rediculous... i cannot believe people claim GOD OR ALLAH told them to do it. my lord is not in favor of murdering innocent people or taking your own life. also my lord says that arguing and fighting over religion is wrong. i am sure my lord is very disappointed in the way things are going.. and alot of people on both sides... in all countries...will have to answer..to him. because there is not just one wrong country or person in this mess. not to value physical.LIFE.and look forward to eternal happiness would be foolish. what most idiots do not know..is that we can have both. and we leave one..when GOD SAYS LEAVE.
